THE 2008 MIGHTY MO EXPEDITION HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
The Mighty MO Expedition is an expedition-length adventure race that will set teams of four on a journey through
the state of Missouri. Teams will bike on some fantastic single track mountain bike trails, paddle exciting and beautiful
spring-fed rivers, cross terrain on some stunning rope elements, and see some of the most beautiful areas Missouri
has to offer. Forty teams of 4 will race together for up to 80 hours to see if they can be crowned champion of the highly anticipated second
running of the Mighty MO Expedition!
WHAT: A grueling 80-hour expedition in the state of Missouri. Teams will run, trek, mountain bike,
paddle, navigate, traverse, rappel and do whatever else is necessary to get your team to the finish line. This race will test
the most experienced adventure racing teams, and provide a challenge of epic proportions to teams that have never
participated in an expedition-length adventure race.
WHEN: May 15-18, 2008
WHERE: The race will start at the YMCA Trout Lodge near Potosi, Missouri. The race will be a point-to-point
race, and racers should expect to finish the race in a different location.
FORMAT: The Mighty MO Expedition will only allow 4-person teams. Teams can be co-ed or open. This race
will be supported.
PRIZES: 1st Place : $6,000 | 2nd Place: $3,000 | 3rd Place: $1,000
CHECKPOINT TRACKER ADVENTURE RACING SERIES: The 2008 Mighty MO Expedition will be a part of the
Checkpoint Tracker Adventure Racing Series. All co-ed teams will receive double points in the Series for participating in the
Mighty MO.
